Really a Comedy

I watched this on the new DVD release and hadn't seen it in a long time. I had retired my VHS copy years ago.
It really is a comedy with Bronson and Brynner doing a great comedy routine through out the film and Mitchum as the straight man.
Even my 14 year old and 12 year old sons laughed at the banter all through the film.
I've always thought it's a good film but it seems like a missed opportunity.
But BRONSON rocks in this one and gives you a glimpse of what might have been with his image. He did this mostly in the early 70's in films like Red Sun, St. Ives and Noon to 3.
Unfortunately Hollywood or he himself never gave us that steely grin of his to often.

Enjoy the flick....who knows if Peckinpah had done it. Not sure if it was discussed but he is a credited writer.
