Many years ago I saw a spaghetti western with a Manco looking gringo who acquired a gun with a revolving barrel like the Stranger's. Only difference was the sound track made a "coo-coo" sound just before he fired it.
Anyone know what film this was? This was c.'67-68, same as STRANGER...

Watching The STRANGER RETURNS on TCM, this has to be the film I saw forty years ago. Somehow (where)the soundtrack was changed. Blond guy in poncho, old man gives him a multi barreled pistol, gun in haystack during attempted rape c.mid-late sixties.
There couldn't be two similar in one period; I give it 6.5
On TCM as I write this which means it may be available to watch on the app after its airing. Yay
