This always struck me as a very sensual scene of mutual seduction. But watching again this evening there seemed a fair dose of knowing humourous teasing from her and moments of embarrassed shyness from him.
I've watched it several times over many (many) years and it's funny how your perception of a scene can change over time - still a great film though.
