Thank Goodness for Fast Forward Button

If your DVR has a fast forward button, you will really enjoy this movie, the parts where the Rolling Stones are on-screen I mean.

Otherwise, two movies.

A Stones Documentary and a pretentious film that seems to have been made by a Graduate Student at a Film Acadamy.

I agree, what a load of tosh. I bought an album once by Memphis Slim that featured the powers of Peter Green at his peak. Fathead Slim obviously felt so threatened by the little Jewish boy from London's East End that he drowned out all his guitar work with horns. Reminds me of that Laurel and Hardy classic..."Horns!" Anyway, Godard's SABOTAGING because that's what it is! of the Stones rehearsal almost tops the old ivory tinkler for arrogance. Truly memorable for how a song is crafted and Jagger's explosive take at the end as Pallenberg et al hoot into the mic. Isherwood once said that Evil is the destruction of creativity. Maybe the Stones were singing about Godard.

Chris,

I have only seen about 20 minutes of Sympathy for the Devil - about all I have been able to find.

Why would you call Memphis Slim (born John Len Chatman September 22 1915 and died February 24, 1988) "fathead" and criticise "his" treatment of Peter Green (born Peter Allen Greenbaum 29 October 1946 and still around). Slim was 55 years old at the time of recording "Memphis Slim Blue Memphis," Green was 24.

Consider the age, historical and cultural backgrounds of the collaborators and how much Slim would have influenced the production process, your comments begins to strike me as emanating from a somewhat unpleasant place. What's the point?

I spent 35 quid on that Slim album years ago just to hear Peter Green's contribution. I have every right to call that man a 'fathead'.
