Was this ever edited?

I remembered seeing this years ago on cable and it had all these scenes with the blacks discussing things interspersed with footage of the Stones in the studio recording Sympathy for the Devil. Did they ever take out all that black footage and re-edit it as just the Stones recording music? If so what is it called?
