Not all. Many won't get it, and didn't at release. It's really an alternative '60s film, which I like. But everyone? No way.

Yes indeed. This film including all of Lancaster's films are very, very good. He was a great actor.

Superb, thoughtful, emotionally powerful film. Burt Lancaster is wonderful, capturing all the sides of the character, from euphoric & self-confident, to puzzled & self-doubting, to finally being stripped bare & defeated.
