Burt Lancaster's real swmiming pool

File this under Trivia, TMI or whatever ;) but IMHO, it's ironic now that I watched The Swimmer. in which Burt Lancaster was GREAT - truly an Academy Award performance. 9)

A while ago when I was in my sophomore year at UCLA and a few friends and I were invited to Lancaster's house in the Hollywood Hills by his son, Jimmy. Burt wasn't there. It was an enormous pool and we all jumped in. No one was 21 yet but we were all drinking and frolicking around the pool. I barely remember except it was a wonderful memory from my youth. Fun'd times.

Thanks for the memory. I was stationed near LA in the 1970s in the USAF and Burt is one of my favorite actors. I'm old now, but I sure am jealous that you got to frolic in his pool in your youth.

Cool story! When I saw the subject line I thought you were going to say that Burt's real pool was one of the pools he swam across in the movie.
