Sweet November is a Sweet Movie

I wasn't expecting much, but I tuned into this today, as I love Sandy
Dennis. So glad I watched. No, it isn't a great film, and it's a tad
dated, but this was made when romantic comedy knew how to project depth
into both the story and the characters. And I certainly didn't predict
anything in the story. A nice treat, and a nice film to watch on a lazy
afternoon. Dennis and Anthony Newley were really great talents.

I caught it for the first time this afternoon on TCM. I thought it was a nice flick. I half expected Sara (Sandy Dennis) to come running out into the snow at the end. Dennis and Newley had chemistry you don't see often these days.

IMO, this is one of the most under-rated films of all time. 6.8 on IMDB suggests to me that people just click a number based on reading about the film and not actually viewing it. A very enjoyable film indeed.
