The cast is the most amazing thing about this film

How in the world did they get Joan Blondell to do this movie? She was pretty much an A list movie star in the 30s having done so many films with James Cagney. Ditto for Katy Jurado; a major film star.

Burgess Meredith was pretty funny with the plastered smile.

Overall I liked it.

I liked it myself; it was perfect fluff to watch while it snowed crazily.

Burgess Meredith had bowed legs in some scenes and not in others, and all of these blue eyed "Indians" were entertaining.

Watching Elvis always makes me smile.

Why ain't you at the garden party you heathen?

If you're back here reading this, it was FORTY YEARS since Joan Blondell was in anything of note, she probably needed the money. Younger folks had no idea who she was, older ones went, 'hey isn't that Joan Blondell??' In it for the money. Or, maybe, they loved to work in the movies and took any small overture cast their way. Ditto for the others mentioned. In the 60's there were a lot of movies (and TV shows) featuring faded stars of the past, one last hurrah way late in their careers.
