Is anyone a Gertie fan?

I love, love, love Julie Andrews and her voice. It's the purest sounding thing I've ever heard. But has anyone heard the real Gertrude Lawrence's voice? After watching "Star!" I was desperate to see how the real Gertie sounded. This will sound bizarre, but i really like her voice too!!! Her voice was criticized and people said she had no range, but I don't believe so!!! I'm in love with the song "Poor Little Rich Girl." I love how trilly it is. I always listen to it on the TV (I can't, for the life of me, find it on iTunes or on cd, or even tape) and my mom goes "You sure listen to this lady a lot." And I say "Well, I love it. Don't you?" And her response is "I'm not a fan." Am I the ONLY Gertie Lawrence fan? She can't be compared to Julie, as Julie's truly the best singer to walk this Earth, ever, I believe, but Gertie's got something attractive in her voice. Don't you think so?

Yes, I am. I think Julie Andrews and Judy Garland compete for best vocal though. I really like the recording from Red Peppers. Recording of Gertie are hard to find on CD.

My God, if you know where to get that, I would be so glad. Where could I find that?

I actually stumbled on a "Gertie" LP sountrack at a thrift shop..."The King and I"....but I was afraid to play it so I never have....
