Went to the screening. Very interesting movie. I can see why it bombed but it is a curio piece and did have some campy/funny moments. Seeing Carol Channing in a see through bra and panties has scarred me for life but I will get over it. Jackie Gleason was a great comedian, he can take even bad lines that are not funny and make them amusing. This movie did have some really bizarre scenes, Groucho Marx's assistant looked about ten years ahead of her time, for 1968 she looked like a 1978 Studio 54 party girl. Not a waste of time but I wouldn't want to watch it again!

Aside from the extended shots of Jackie Gleason's sweating, bug-eyed tripping face, I enjoyed it, in a massochistic sort of way. Amusingly bad....Great seeing Harry Nilsson pop up in a cameo, though!
