question wanting an answer

I just watched my video version of Shoes of the Fisherman, and I wondered if the crowd scenes in the election, and the coronation were from the time when Pope Paul VI was elected, and someone said the crowd scenes of the coronation where from the opening of the Second session of the Vatican Council. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

The scenes of the crowds in St. Peter's Square were a combination of footage from the death of Pope John XXIII (1963) and the election of Paul VI (also 1963). The footage of the Pope on the sedia gestatoria (sedan chair) at the coronation is from the opening of the Fourth Session of Vatican II.
