The Chubby Cardinal
Leo McKern as Cardinal Leone is magnificent ! He can't be any better than he is.
He does the little things, the gestures, etc.-those silent looks which convey much.
He buttresses the movie with his strong supporting role along to a lesser degree Janssen and many others.
Olivier underplays his role. And, to me, both Werner & McKern are stand-outs.
