DVD now available directly from Warner's webpage!

Warner Home Video has released this film exclusively via their webpage:

It looks like this on-demand version is the wrong aspect ratio, and in BLACK AND WHITE rather than color--it was filmed and released in color. That's pretty outrageous, even with the disclaimers given on Warner's webpage about it not having been specially remastered for this release.

The pre-credit sequence is in b&w, the film is in color and the image quality is very good. It's in the proper aspect ratio as well

Thanks so much. I'll go ahead and order it.

I received my copy from WB Shop a few days ago. This is not in B & W, only the first few minutes of the film which is correct. Even though it was not remastered, the picture is very clear and sharp; high quality.

The burn-to-order DVD is now available from Amazon.com at $22.98. The WB Shop's warning about film quality is the same warning that accompanies all of WB's burn-on-demand discs but, here, no warning is really necessary since the quality is so good. The colors are a little muted, but this won't bother you. Buy it from either WB or Amazon based on whichever is selling it cheaper on any given day. Amazon lists a few used copies under $15. Wherever you buy it, BUY IT. You'll be glad you did.
