Is this remarkable film on dvd for region 1?

I saw this film as a youngster when it came out and was stunned by the brilliant
acting, adaptation, direction, production values, etc.
It is impossible for me to find a dvd of the film, and I would really, really like to get one. Is the problem my research methods? Or does the film not yet
exist as a dvd? If it's the latter, is there someone/some company who owns the rights and who might be convinced to release the film on dvd?

Not anymore. It;s absurd and indicative of the coarsening and profit corruption of the culture that this is NOT on DVD, as it should be.

"The Sea Gull" will be aired on tcm at 6:00 AM (EDT) on Sunday, July 15, 2012.

I just received a new DVD from Amazon (Warner Archive Collection) $17.99. I believe these are "print on demand"). Fills the 1.78:1 TV screen.
