Opened the same day APES opened wide

Ironic that this comedy western with strong elements of social commentary on US race relations opened on the same day that "Planet of the Apes," with its obvious social commentary, opened wide across the country on the very same day, April 3, 1968. And haunting in that Martin Luther King was murdered the next day.
