different plot?

I saw another version of Satanik years ago on TV. It was about a woman that in order to save her life doctors had to take out the pineal gland which gave her chameleon-like adaptability. They finally killed her by filling her bedroom with carbon dioxide while she slept, rendering her unconscious, and reinstalling the gland which killed her. I think that's a much better plot, and besides the striptease scene is much more sustained and sensual. Any help locating this version would be greatly appreciated. Dave
