50th anniversary of the film
I was a year old when this film came out, but have seen it many times over the years. On YT, there are a few clips of the actors making appearances to mark the anniversary. That's sweet they are still good friends.

shareThis movie was part of a perfect date night package for me with a very nice girl I liked when I was in high school. We first went to Pizza Hut, then the movie and on the way home, we smooched in the back of the cab. I actually found her awhile back on a class reunion site.
shareI've not seen the 2013 version but it's a very good cast and I find Hailee Steinfeld watchable so I'll add that to my lists. I'm afraid I found the Baz Luhrmann version with DiCaprio and Claire Danes very disappointing because I couldn't understand what they were all saying half the time. I like to hear the words with Shakespeare and in this version only Miriam Margolyes and Pete Postlethwaite were clear to me. I don't believe this is just an American vs British thing because one of my favourite Shakespeare films is Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing, which is an un-showy and well spoken production that I've watched several times.
