It's probably impossible to find on MP3 format but does anyone know the song and/or the band. Was it Strawberry Alarm Clock? Thanks.

It was Strawberry Alarm Clock................those songs are on a 602 hits thing I saw at a rexcord store.....along with the MC5 song that is not even in the movie....great soundtrack!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that this is called "The Pretty Song From Psychout"

You can get that song on the original album if you go to Ebay and type in "Psych Out" alot of times they are selling the record album on ebay.
sometimes it's cheap or sometimes it can get expensive, depending on condition.

and i am not sure if it's on the Strawberry Alarm Clocks CD "Strawberries Mean Love". Just go to amazon.com and look up their stuff for sale.

Yes, that's it, but it's performed by ''The Storybook'' NOT the ''Strawberry Alarm Clock''.
