I adore these two actors together, saw every single movie with them. It is so sad when two great talents like these no longer exist on this earth.

Heck yeah,I like both of them,too---these dudes just about killed it in everything they did---two true classic old-school actors doing what they did best, whenever they teamed up--they really made this flick work.

Jack Lemmon was good, but Walter Matthau was hideous

Can't agree about your assessment about Matthau; the role was tailor-made for him. His acting was superb and I can't even imagine anyone else as that sportswriter.
