The only dvd I can buy of this film cannot be played on an americand vd player. The hassle of converting it seems too time consuming, Is there any internet source where I can watch this film. I am really interested to see it.

Just get a region free player their very cheap now
even region free Blu ray players are cheap now
theres lots of software that can help convert in a few click as well!
shareNot sure if you"re still interested 5 years later, but this film is scheduled for TCM on 4/27/15 at 4:00am EST. I don"t know if you have TCM but another Czech film "Pearls of the Deep", is scheduled for 2am EST right before this one as their Sunday Night import"s.
