The Exploding Truck

Do you think that killed Tom and Judy then and there or do you think they felt the flames? What a painful way to go. However, how would there have been anything left for the dead to munch on?

"...would there have been anything left for the dead to munch on?"

Just some crispy critters.

From the look of it, the truck was engulfed in flames more so than an explosion.

reply

So, I wonder if Tom and Judy knew they were on fire?

reply

You better believe they did.

reply

Funny how you didn't see any flailing of their burning bodies. What an awful way to go! But wonder what attracted the zombies to their remains.

reply

That truck didn’t burn that long for sure. I’d be willing to bet their organs were still close to normal temperature while their outsides were charred.

reply

I think that was probably the most disturbing deaths. Perhaps they were still partially alive and that is what attracted the zombies.

reply

Well, there’s lots to think about. We saw them use rocks to break windows and were told they attacked another truck and flipped it. To me, this means they retain memories of their former lives. Therefore they associated the truck with people or saw them get inside, instead of smelling human flesh or other animalistic means. They were thinking.

That definitely makes sense. Still, Tom and Judy's death was extremely disturbing. I just wonder how long it took them die? You'd think that you'd see their flaming bodies (Tom's) flailing out of the truck. I'll bet there was nothing left of Barbara except chewed bones scattered all over the countryside.
