This movie is a Hidden Gem! Great story and musical numbers, super supporting cast - Forrest Tucker, Harry Andrews as the Amish father (isn't he always an army colonel?), machine gun pace and very funny dialogue: what each finger is for, argument in the deli, so much more.
This is a terrific, funny movie and deserves at least a 7.5!
I gave it a rating of 6 and I thought that was being generous. The run time is 99 minutes and I felt that it could have been done in under 60. I really became bored watching those lame comedy skits over and over and over again. The plot was a bit thin and I think the film should have had better editing. I will admit that the line below did make me laugh out loud though.
