Thaddeus Vane

Bit of an obscure question but does anyone know if ‘Thaddeus Vane’ who wrote the Herman’s Hermits film Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter is the same person as ‘Norman Thaddeus Vane’ who directed horror/exploitation films in the eighties (The Horror Star, The Black Room). The IMDB has them down as two people, but the similar, and lets face it quite unusual, names makes me think they are one in the same.
