Childhood Memories of Mission Mars

Wow... lm glad l read this... l was born in 1964 and remember seeing this at a seaside town hall cinema when on holidays- it was part of a double-feature program, the main feature being Walt Disneys 'MILLION DOLLAR DUCK". Talk about bizarre programming!
I was probably only about 8 or 10 years old but feeling very grown-up, l left my parents up the back rows and sat up front all by myself.. that is until the huge silver ball opend up and a red beam burn a hole in the astronauts heart and his dead body slithered into the ball...l went screaming back up the aisle and think l had nightmares for a week! I also never forgot that picture although its name eluded me all these years- until now!
Im dead keen to see it again now- lm sure l would cry with laughter these-days. Thanks for jogging the memory and providing the title- lm off to the video shop! Cheers from Australia :-)

Saw this in the early 70s on the local creepshow that lasted from 11:30pm 'til 6:00am on Saturday nights. Nostlagia for youth probably why I have an affinity for MM. Actually, not a very good movie, especially the Earthbound beginning.

Enjoyed this movie! Loved the cheesy effects. Darren McGavin was always excellent.
