criterion is the best and the gold standard when it comes to dvd.

why don't we email criterion for the release of this great movie on their dvd label?

I've personally suggested this one several times over the past few years, particularly in light of some of their rather marginal releases of late. You can always go to their website & recommend selections (though they don't ususally respond) or go to the criterion forum for discussion.

second run dvd will release this on dvd this coming february 2007, altough in Region 2 PAL,i have seen the footage provided there in the forum and it is the remastered edition already.........cant wait to buy this. i am a collector of world cinema and for sure, i will have this one as this movie is a must have
