In the scene where Kim Novak is walking around in the garden with Peter Finch and they meet the gardener, she is walking around in her bra. This is not explained or even acknowledged except for the gardener leering at her.
Is this just another of the unexplained strange things about this movie?
Yes, I think it was just a random element in a very random movie. I wish Elsa's transition from timid, no-name actress to movie star would have been more apparent. I definitely can't see Elsa walking around randomly in her bra.
Also, I thought it was sort of hilarious that it took the gardener a few seconds to realize he had a hot woman standing in front of him. I mean, it's Kim Novak... without a shirt. I love this movie.
