shareYes they're releasing a box set on Blu-Ray. It also features The X From Outer Space and a movie I've never heard of called Genocide. I'll pick up the set if it's reasonably priced.
While I love sci-fi/horror movies of this era & genre, why are Criterion releasing these movies? These movies are considered bad today. I own X From Outer Space & Goke on VHS, they're awful!! Part of why I like them. But I thought Criterion released "important" movies.
Couldn't they find more worthy titles to give the DVD treatment?
I thought that exact same thing. Of course every so often they release some lesser "classics" like Downey Sr's box set and I think they even released Armageddon once, which still confounds me.
shareExactly. Not sure what's up with Criterion lately. Maybe they need titles that will sell out? They're also getting competition from Olive & Twilight Time. Who knows?
Last Criterion Bluray I picked up was A Night To Remember.
