How did Mothra Come to be at Monsterland?

I thought Mothra was in control of Infant Island and the two fairy priestesses. How did the United Nations Science Committee get Mothra?

Yes. And if the explanation is that this is an alternate reality where the twin fairies and peace island does not exist just doesn't work out. The attraction of Mothra was that she was cared for on the island and had a connection with the princesses. And as for Godzilla, well it kind of lowered his status and the others status. This isn't a good movie, at least to me.

Its a plot hole. Also Godzillas son never grew up either despite this movie taking place some 30 years after we first met Godzillas son. I hate when I come across plot holes like this
