Anachronisms abound in this movie.

Grooming especially, which is an area that Hollywood often got wrong.

Respectable women didn't wear their hair down then, even a saloon harlot wouldn't, at least not in public. It wasn't considered decent at all.

The whole belly dancing club...in the deep south...in the 1860's. HA! And even in a seedy dive, the women would NOT be showing that much skin.

The Texas 7 are called "long hairs", as if short hair was in style at the time. Wrong. Short hair on men didn't become "the norm" until World War 1, when men entering the army had their heads shaved to keep lice from spreading. But then, this movie is commenting on the 1960's Vietnam era, not the 1860's Civil War.

It was an amusing movie in a C-grade way, if only to see Caan so young. The corny music with the cynical story that's filmed in a b-grade backlot style makes for a very odd viewing.
