Where does this rank

It doesn`t appear of any list of great sci-fi films which is probably because time travel films usually involve a leap into the distant past or distant future whereas in this film he just travels back a year in time and there are no special effects or anything out of the ordinary. But it is one of Resnais` best films and definitely deserves to be more widely available.

Technically, it's sci-fi. More of a story of man's life and personal struggles.




The night beckons, like a finger curling and uncurling as if to say "Hey, come here."
