Shirley Bonne

I have always thought Shirley Bonne was soo beautiful, even in It's Alive
she shines, even in a Larry Buchanan film she seems great to me. Anymore

I like her as well. She looked very pretty in this movie, even when she was locked up in the cave. It's too bad Shirley quit acting altogether shortly after acting in this flick.

i'm sure bonne was (and probably still is, if she's living) QUITE an attractive woman. but the kitschy sixties makeup and hairstyle that she sports in "alive" don't do her justice. i detect traces of natural beauty fighting to come out from behind her synthetic "styling" job. she would have been much more effective if presented in a more "natural" manner. but i guess young women in the mid sixties LIKED that kind of kitschy look and thought it was "flattering." so her appearance was appropriate for the time and place in which the film as set.

Shirley is best known to Star Trek fans as Ruth, Capt. Kirk's old flame (well, actually an android replica of her) in the original series episode "Shore Leave." She was indeed a beauty, but in It's Alive! she looks like she's wearing a cheap Dynel blonde wig.
