Greely sure put a lot of effort and money into his attraction (all the stairs and lighting in the cave), but never seemed to want to cash in on his investment and discovery of the creature. I guess he just wanted to be a recluse with a housekeeper.

Greely did mention earlier in this movie that since they relocated
the highway now his business is quite literally
hidden from the public eye
( a bit of a reference to the movie PSYCHO from 1960 in this too ? ) .
However you are right DeepFriedJello why he wasn't listening to
Norman and Wayne when they were mentioning advertising of his business
to the outside world is a bit beyond me .
I guess being a madman for Greely was a full time job ?

Well, how much interest would there really be in seeing a live dinosaur who's head alone is about 8' in height. Perley have NEVER been fascinated by dinosaurs. That's why NO ONE ever goes to see the current crop of Dino flicks. :P
