personally i only remember seeing vanessa redgrave playing older scary femme fatales in movies made decades after this, so from that perspective that made her performance here even more fun to watch in this, and she is a complete knock out, not that i didn't think she was hot later on, i thought the flick looked fresher than a 1968 piece before i saw the production year, i noticed there seemed to be a pretty rough cutting when they walked out from the beach house. this movie gave a bit of the same vibes as "puzzle of a downchild" i thought. i read in a review book that this movie initially had even much longer running time. what she yelled down at the crowd with the fifty children was impossible to hear without subtitles.
