Please come up with a re-mastered dvd copy please!

I saw this film when I was still in college.
I really loved this film; otherwise it would
not have stuck in my mind. Oskar Werner I
remember was perfect for the role. I can't
recall the leading lady anymore. All I can
recall is that it was a beautiful but sad
love story and I can still remember the
melody of the song..."time is like a dream,
and now for a time you were mine...
what seems like an interlude now, could be
the beginning of love..." Well, anyway, the
song still haunts me. Will they please come
with a DVD copy?!

If anyone out there is reading this who has the clout to get it released on DVD, please add mine to the requests. I love the new soundtrack on CD (see separate posting) and I also have the LP, but unfortunately I missed seeing the movie. I can't find it anywhere, and would like a copy...

Mr. dodwell-peter: If you loved the soundtrack you will adore the movie. I was searching for years. Finally, two months ago I got a copy in DVD. Very watchable and the music is fine, taking in consideration that for sure was copied from VHS or late movie channel. If you are interested, contact me at [email protected]

I have been looking EVERYWHERE trying to find this Beautiful & Poignant movie from 1968. Anyone out there who finds it, PLEASE get in touch with me. I did tape it when it was on TV many years ago, but the tape is old and the tracking is not good. I have it buried *somewhere* in my closet and NEED to find it, as it is ALL I have and may ever have of that movie. So glad there are other men and women who found this treasure as beautiful as I.
[email protected] IF someone happens to find a copy on DVD>slim chance, but maybe??

Hi there. I was finally able to find & buy a video of Interlude with Oskar Werner (after years of searching)... My copy is visually fine... however, the audio is a bit "muffled"... You can hear everything - just not sharply.

I am interested in selling this tape... Let me know if you're interested in buying it?

As you did, I searched for years for a copy of Interlude (1968) with Oscar Werner. Finally, two months ago I found a DVD. It is a copy, but very watchable and the music is fine, taking in consideration that for sure was made from VHS or a late movie channel. If you are interested, you can contact me.

I am one of those who would like a copy available commercially, one with all the scenes in it. DVD would be my preference, but I'd gladly take VHS too! Any version! A DVD Region 0 would be good for all of those in other countries, or Region 1 or 2. There are copies floating around, but none with the clarity that one from the actual company could make, either Columbia UK or Sony UK. So far, I haven't found an address for whoever holds the rights to this film, but they're really missing out on a goldmine, with the following that Oskar Werner has, and the fact that a copy labelled "new" sold on e-bay for $255.00 within the last year!
If anybody knows who to write about this, please post it!

If we had the email addresses of Columbia Pictures and many of us will email them, maybe they will listen. I'd been waiting for ages for Flower Drum Song and now it is available on the market...yey!! :-)How do make them aware of the clamor for this very lovely film?

I still remember all the words as well.

Time is like a dream,
and now for a time you are mine,
Lets hold fast to the dream,
The taste and sparkle of wine.

Who knows if it's real,
or just something we're both dreaming of.
What seems like an Interlude now
Can be the beginning of love.

Loving you, is a world that's strange
So much more, than my heart can hold
Loving you makes the whole world change
Loving you I cannot grow old.

No nobody knows, when love will end
But till then, sweet friend
Time is like a dream
And now for a time you are mine
Let's hold fast to the dream
The taste and sparkle of wine.

Who knows if its real,
Or just something we're both dreaming of
What seems like an interlude now
Can be the beginning of love.
What seems like an interlude now...
Can be...the beginning...of love.
====================================

Sadly enough I had my own 'Interlude' as a
young woman, with a man who strongly resembled
Oskar Werner. I often wondered if, perhaps, this
movie didn't somehow influence me more than I thought.

Ah well, I know I need to own this movie.

Thank you, Win for sharing the lyrics to the song. I don't remember all of it anymore but the tune continues to haunt me.

I can't imagine why the producers won't release a re-mastered copy of this wonderful film!

We will keep our fingers crossed and pray that one day we will this movie again. After all, another movie I have wanted to watch has become available through amazon (flower drum song!) :-) I am hopefull!

you are very welcome and to be honest it was all from memory so I'm not sure world was world any more but it fits. The older man to whom I alluded I've found recently has passed away. He, like Oskar died far too young, barely 70. Seeing this movie again might bring me serenity if not peace.

This film changed my life. Its too long a story to tell here (I am 74 years young) but I will happily tell it to any one who can point me in the direction of a copy of this haunting, life changing film.

Hi Brad

You would be the same age as the man of which I had written. He would have been 74 on the 6th of January.

I got a copy at http://www.vicpine.co.uk.

Unfortunately the sound quality is *VERY* muffled, you can hear the music, but not the dialog, at least, not very well.

If you can find an wireless fm transmitter, you could probably connect it to your computer and then utilizing a radio, or the radio in your tv to amplify the sound.

It was worth it to me, to be able to hear the dialog after while watching the movie on my pc.

Also since it appears the DVD is mastered in GB, and they are in area 2, while the US and Canada are in area 1, not all the DVD's mastered in 2 will play on an ordinary DVD player. It does play on my mac however.

I don't know if it's worth it to you to overcome all these problems, I just know it was to me.

Take care of yourself, my man never did.

I forgot to mention, I got the wireless FM Transmitter at the 5 below store, so it was $5.

PS My man took better care of his hypocondriac (sp.) wife than he did of his own health, hence his far too early death.
