Odds are that the rights are now owned by Warners, like a lot of other MGM films from this period that were transferred by Ted Turner. If they are, the chances of it coming out are ok. They have been releasing more older films lately, although that doesn't mean too much considering that they have such an immense catalog. If the rights are still held by MGM, they probably would have released it when they did the other Pink Panther films. We may see a release eventually but it's going to be a low priority, bare-bones release in all likelihood...at least maybe then it'll be in widescreen.

i have a "heuonch" that the movie (along with The Return of the Pink Panther, curse, AND son) will be released in a box set after the new pink panther movie is released... just a thought.

Regrettably, this P.O.S is indeed coming to DVD.

It will be released on R2 on the 17th of October, to coincide with the release of the new movie.
It can be preorderered at play.com

Is there gonna be an R1 as well, or am I gonna have to get an import? I love this film, only because it has someone whose initials are "AA" (And I"m nto talking about Alan Arkin! ^_~)

This film will be out on DVD on January, 31 in the US.

I got this one cheap today. Wasn't too sure about it, I've got three other Pink Panther movies I haven't got around to watching. I will, but probably not for a while.

It has been released on DVD in Norway, so I've been able to buy it (as I live in Sweden). It was released at the same time as 'Curse' and 'Son'.
