nobody runs forever

Saw this on tv the other day for 2nd time and enjoyed it again - but some of the dialogue was a bit stiff, ie a bit stilted. Rod Taylor seemed at times uncomfortable with some of his lines - and there were too many sterotypical
"Ocker" sayings, idioms and slang. There were many gaps in the story too, eg we were not told what the "talks" were about and who wanted them stopped or sabotaged, and where did that nasty female Cholon fit into the sabotage? But Oh what about the clothes and the hair on the women?!! Thank goodness those days are gone. This movie is dated but the story is a good one and could easily be remade today updating the script and fashions. Christopher Plummer (in his prime) is good.

But celery stalks at midnight.

Let it be unsaid: insignificance is the locus of true increpation.
