didn't John Wayne get ran over by a dozer?

Didn't John Wayne get ran over by a dozer and it broke his back towards the end of the movie??? I seem to remember that for some reason, but last night while it was on it never showed it. The only thing that showed was towards the beginning of the movie where he gets pinched by a couple of dozers when the dumbass news reporter runs up to him and the dozer operators try to avoid him and pinch JW instead. This isn't the same as what I'm thinking that happened. But then it has been well over 20+ years since I have last seen this movie.

Not in this film. The squeeze you described early in the movie is the only close encounter that Wayne has with a bulldozer in this film. You must be thinking of another movie.

The only other Duke movie that I can remeber involving bulldozers was "The Fighting Seabees", but he gets shot by a sniper, not run over by the dozer.
