Why does Irene look so surprised when Tish calls New Orleans information for her friend's phone number? I don't get this. I mean, Tish just said she was thinking of going to see her, right? And Greg just said that Irene would arrange for Tish to use the jet to get there. I just don't get it. PLEASE enlighten me!
Irene thought she was making up an excuse to get on the plane/helicopter with them to go to the fire. She gave up to easily...... especially being Chance Buckman's daughter which would make her stubborn. Therefore, she was surprised when she did have a friend in New Orleans to "go visit". Which of course was in fact just an excuse to get to the fire.

The most obvious explanation is she didn't remember the number and didn't have her address book with her.
