Casper Wyoming filming locale Snodgrass Ranch

My wife and I did a dog sled ride with Billy Snodgrass 3-4 years ago. He is a Iditarod competitor and a racing sled dog food mfg. http://iditarod.com/race/2016/mushers/360-Billy-Snodgrass/
He told us, during the ride outside of Dubois WY, that Hellfighters was filmed on his family ranch in Casper Wyoming when he was 10 years old or so. The Duke missed his family, played ball during breaks in filming with Billy, and was a nice guy.

What a thrill to say you hung out for a summer with John Wayne! Every kid wanted that!
