TGS trailer on dvd, very bizarre (Spoilers)

I was watching the theatrical trailer on the Great Silence DVD and noticed a couple odd little things. For one, it uses footage from both the original unhappy ending and the happy ending that the studio made Corbucci film for certain audiences. That one, I don't have much of an issue with because I know trailers are thrown together before a movie is truly finished.

Here's the biggy though. At the end of the trailer, there is a shot of Silence, which looks like the happy ending, standing outside the saloon, TALKING! What's going on? It caught me completely off guard. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yah, it looks like it was during the alternate ending when Frank Wolf comes up to talk to them. I think they cut this out of the alternate ending because in the alternate ending you see silence smile in that same seen. I feel that he says something and then smiles after he says it in the uncut alternate ending. Sorry if that was hard to understand.
Very wierd!
