Favorite Musical Number

I was wondering what fans of this movie considered to be their favorite musical moment in the film since this film has such a great score: My favorites were "Old Devil Moon", "That Great Come and Get it Day" and "When I'm Not Near the Girl I Love".

That's really tough to say my Favorite because I love all the songs. I love then all for different reasons.

But I would have to say that I loved, "When I'm Not Near The Girl I Love."

In close second is, "If This Isn't Love" then "Old Devil Moon". More than one I know.

"The Begat". Having Avon Long on film even if only for a few minutes is a treasure beyond price.

Sorry to make you choose. It is one of the best scores in musical theater, one classic song after another.

It's a gorgeous score. But if I had to pick my two faves, they'd be Tommy Steele's two big numbers, "Something Sort of Grandish" and "When I'm Not Near the Girl I Love."

How about the one where the girl is dancing and the bloke sings, ( it's been years since I've seen this film so I'm a bit rusty with the names of the characters...) . It's quite a fav of mine.

" A secret, A secret, she says she's got a secret..."

'How Are Things In Glocca Morra.' When I was away from home a lot it was that catch line of the song's title that ran through my head at times. It is a lovely song to evoke nostalgia and homesickness, no matter where a person calls home.
