Chest shaving scene

I didn't quite get the whole scene with Paul and the prostitute. His chest looked smooth to me before the prostitute started shaving Paul's chest. Anyone know the story behind this scene?

In traditional Meyer fashion, this chest-hair was doubling for pubic hair. Implicit when Christiana unzips Paul's pants, and asks, "Who's your barber?" is that he has too much pubic hair.

Oh, haha thanks! I thought she was shaving his chest!

its sick though that when she's done you don't really see her clean up the loose hair. She just rinses the razor and then rolls ontop of him.
