You have to see the uncut VHS version

The european VHS version which has english audio and is readily available from many online DVDR vendors has 17 minutes of additional footage, a better ending, and a plot that makes more sense.

All DVDs under the title Fangs of the living dead are crappy US edited cuts that ruin the movie! The best scenes were taken out!

To see a more improved, scarier, more atmospheric version of the film that is uncut with a better ending you have to get either the Dutch or Finnish VHS or a DVDR that is ripped off the VHS.

I know 'Fangs of the living dead' is a *beep* film but you will be impressed if you saw the full version! It is more in tune with Ossorio's vision!

I know sites like trash palace, the drive in connection and european trash cinema have the uncut version.

So which DVD print, if any, do you recommend? There are several versions of Fangs Of The Living Dead on DVD. I'm an Amando De Ossorio fan who's only seen the Blind Dead films.

Currently there are no DVD's available that have the uncut good version. All the DVD releases under the title "Fangs of the living dead" are crap. You have to go to an online DVDR vendor that has a rip of the out of print VHS.

The English dubbed one ( at 93 min ) was released on Dutch VHS years ago.
There is a Spanish language version that's several minutes longer than that one.

I saw what I presume is the cut version (PG-rated), but I thought it was pretty good: a typical vampire story, but fairly entertaining. And boy, is John Hamilton sexy sans the shirt!

I saw "Fangs" on the 9 film Grindhouse edition. It was "meh" at best. However I am a fan of Ossorio's work, I will probably find this archaic device you call a VHS tape and hopefully enjoy it more.

Since no one mentioned the name.. MALENKA is the uncut version.. you can watch it at veehd. It runs 1:30.10 @ 29.30 fps... converted to 25.0 fps that makes the run time 01:45:40:13... i played the two versions side by side.. the 73 min and the 90 min.. had to pause constantly due to the frame rate difference.. "They left out the best parts".. *beep* only if you are a fan of watching airplanes take off or buses arriving at castles or scenic stage coach rides .. other than that there is a minute here and a minute there cut to shorten it for double bill length. No nudity.. a couple seconds of a female vampire being whipped and the head vampire bleeding were either cut or replaced with the burning portrait scene . The scene at the end between the friend and the bar girl doesnt exist in the vhs dutch print. .. the us print also has scenes out of order.

Thanks for the rundown. Feel like I've seen both versions now.
