De Duva

We saw this short in the movies back in the 70s. Some years later, it was shown on our local Public Television station. It is without doubt the best short we have ever seen. I would like to know if it has been put on tape. Is it available for purchase?

reply

I too would love to know where this might be available. Anyone?

reply

Sadly (so far as I know) it has yet to be released on either VHS or DVD. It's a shame because I saw it and several other award-winning shorts broadcast on TV and I was laughing my head off at this one. A perfect parody of Ingmar Bergman and the Swedish language.

Dear rickey456,
If you still are able to access copies of "De Duva" I would love a copy.

Thanks, Douglas

This movie is hilarious! We watched it in my Swedish class! It was funny how they made fun of the language so much and the Igmar Bergman films!

wasnt on Facets website, I just checked, would like a copy though
if anyone has it

I too taped it off Nite Flite eons ago and in fact my copy is on Betamax and doesn't play too well. For years I was convinced that Sidney Davis who wrote the screenplay and played the part of Death was really Woody Allen.
But, there are a few other screen credits in that name. Anyhow it is a great spoof of Nergman films.
