It is available on VHS. It's one of the shorts on the 1998 compilation "Classic Foreign Shorts Vol. 1." I'm not sure who produced the video, but it is available for purchase from Facets.

Classic Foreign Shorts--Vol. 1 which does include, "De Düva: The Dove". I had trouble even signing up at the Facets site- maybe there are problems right now. I wound up having to send them an email and I have yet to get an answer. (Contact info: toll-free 1-800-331-6197, e-mail [email protected], order on-line at www.facets.org, or mail your order to Facets Video, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago, IL 60614.) It did say that "Classic Foreign Shorts--Vol. 1" was "unavailable" on their webpage. I wrote to find out when it might become available. I'll let you know if I get any useful information.

shareI'm pretty sure I've still got it on VHS around my house somewhere from when it aired ages ago. I'll need to dig through my extensive library to try to find it. I originally saw this as part of a filmmaking class AGES ago and was thrilled when I managed to tape it off air (something like "Night Flight" if I remember correctly).

tried google. tried e-bay. tried Facet. tried a few other places, all no luck. it would be great if someone came through. a gem like that needs to be shared. i've got many students who would be very appreciative, i'm sure. hey, John any luck? fingers crossed.

This site worked and I searched by title "The Dove" and found it. $37.99. No way to tell if it is in stock.
