This reminds me of a movie I saw on TV in L.A.

It was a parody of a Bergman movie, and the protagonist was being driven to receive and award. One the way, he ruminated on his life and at some point, he asked the driver to stop so he could use an old outhouse in the woods. After defecating, the old professor gets into the limo and the movie ends with him saying, "But now, I be feeling better".

The implication is that the old man just needed to take a good crap in the woods, instead of ruminating about his past life. The screenplay did not specify if the old mane used toilet paper or not, nor if he washed his hands.
