Only Thing I Disliked (SPOILER!)

Was Crown's death. The "tragic" (i.e. stupid) result of him trying to take those guys prisoner depended entirely on two things:

1. Him stupidly trying to force unconditional surrender on the Germans. Apart from vengefully using them as proxies for the Germans at Dunkirk (which in itself is morally questionable), it accomplished nothing except to give the captain a reason to take back his offer. Which he did by blowing Crown away. And while, yes, the decision to kill an enemy officer under a white flag is entirely on the German, I still feel like Crown provoked him needlessly and jumped the gun by trying to lord himself over the would-be prisoners before they'd actually finished surrendering. All it did was get him killed and almost restart the fighting.

2. The German captain being a complete idiot. Not to mention a complete and utter dishonorable tool. Admittedly, such men existed, and we don't see enough of him beforehand to know whether or not shooting someone during a parley is out of character for him... however it still seemed to literally come out nowhere and was a decision that made no sense. All his killing of Crown accomplished was to needlessly endanger his own men, and get himself and two others shot. I mean, what did he think was gonna happen?

Now if it happened that way IRL, I'll eat my words, but it just seemed really dumb.

"I mean, really, how many times will you look under Jabba's manboobs?"
