3 scuba divers!!?!?

when Eva and Diabolik are under water in their scuba gear trying to take away the gold, did anyone see a 3rd scuba diver and not 2 (Eva & D).
I've seen this movie many times, but mostly stoned, so want to verify...

I'm guessing it's a mistake. He is probably the safety diver & got caught on film by mistake.

Initially the scene shows Diabolik and Eva stealing the gold. The next scene (with the 3 divers) are the police divers looking for the gold.
