Should've changed those c's to s's in the title.

As a kid you make that nickname up anyway, whether you liked film or not. It's a kid's film and was not bad for what is was.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a great movie

If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?

its a very well made movie and DVD is great in it but you have to admit it is a very loooong movie over 4 minutes just for the opening credits and the 'toot sweet' song seems to go on for an hour. far too much singing for my taste. clearly made for a time when people had more patience.

reply

No... I saw it when I was a kid in a theater when it first came out and the movie was too damn long then... Honestly I think I fell asleep during the movie.

This and "Mary Poppins" are both long, but man, come on. They are both great.

My parents took us to see this movie, and I loved it. I saw it recently as an adult and wasn't to impressed. Some beautiful photography and some catchy tuines, though.

I also loved it as a kid, got a matchbox car and everything. As an adult I found it way too long, it seems to take 10 mins before the movie starts! and remains rather boring until the Vugaria parts. I also never noticed as a kid the weird S&M bit with the baron and baroness. Bond influences?

That's because kids don't notice things the same way as adults.
In my memory I always thought they actually had gone to Vulgaria, wheras now I know it's only a fantasy sequence.

which begs the question, why was this inserted into a kids movie?

Should've changed those c's to s's in the title.

what's your problem?

It's a movie meant for little kids and their parents.
